Classwork

Students will be assigned class work daily and will be given a due date.  It will be up to the teacher’s discretion whether or not the student will be allowed to take classwork home to complete. If granted the opportunity to complete classwork at home, the student will have 3 days or less from the day the assignment is taken home to turn in for a grade. No work will be accepted after the due date and a zero will be earned for the assignment.

Tests

Tests may be assigned at the end of each unit. Students will be informed about tests at least one week prior to the test. Students should use notes and textbooks to study.

Quizzes

Quizzes will be assigned throughout the year and no prior notice is required.

Projects

Students will have in-class and at home projects throughout the year. Directions, rubrics, and deadlines will be provided.

Homework

Social Studies Homework is assigned each week. It should take 4th graders about 40-50 minutes for homework (inclusive of all subjects) each night plus 20-30 minutes of reading. Social Studies Homework is due at week’s end unless noted otherwise.

Please see weekly details under the homework tab.
